I have been wanting to blog for a while but yet again life just keeps rolling by and it is weeks since I have had a chance to get on here and post anything. There have been lots of exciting things happening over the last few weeks but the most exciting of these has been the arrival of my beautiful neice Caitlin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Caitlin was born on the 1st of September weighing 9 pound 4 oz. She is just a delight and we cant get enough cuddles!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is Hannah having her first cuddle with her new cousin. She was so cute when my sister asked her if she was glad she had a girl cousin. Hannah replied that she was pleased but ‘it isn’t a competition aunty Shells’. We laughed ourselves silly over that one.

Since Caitlin’s birth there has been the Auckland regional training last Saturday which was very enjoyable and this week my team and I have been at the Sista’s Conference in Auckland. What an amazing experience it has been. With over 4000 women attending over 4 days it has been a real blessing for us to have had the priviledge to be there and share stamping and card making with many of the ladies who have attended the conference. A big hello to all of you! It would have been great to have a photo to show you of our stand but we all kept forgetting our camera’s! Hopefully one of the other girls may remember theirs tomorrow so we will have something to share with you soon.

Boy! Life can be very hectic at times. I really stuggle to keep up and unfortunately blogging seems to alway be at the bottom of a very long to-do list.

Stampfest was totally awesome and we are now getting organised for the next one. It will be on Saturday 7th November at the Harvest Church Hall, 3 Beach rd Papakura. This one is going to have a Christmas theme so come along, we’ll be making gift boxes, cards, decorations…… and lots of other cool things. Email me anytime to register.

This is a double slider card that we made at Stamp Club a while back. These cards are so cool and surprisingly easy to make. If you would like to attend my next round of stamp club please email me for more details.

Thanks to everyone one who left nice comments on my blog. I used random.org to generate a number and the number chosen was number 4. Comment number 4  was made by Joanne Jensen. Joanne will be recieving a nice little parcel in the mail soon.

Now, while I am here I might as well post a card we made at stamp club a couple of months ago. It is using my most favourite set from our catalogue, ‘Friends 24-7′.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is a joyfold card and I have used the faux tiling technique as well as faux stitching and sponging. I really like the texture these techniques create. Good evening,

I hope you are all enjoying your evening. I am having my first night off in a while and I am sitting by the fire and playing around on my computer so I thought I would show you a couple more things I haven’t yet got around to posting on my blog.

The first is a one sheet box, which is probably my most favourite 3D box to make because it is so easy and I can make it up really quickly when I am in a hurry, which is most of the time!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another great little 3D bag is the double pocket bag which I have made using the lovely Raspberry Tart dsp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Inside this cute little bag are some little note cards and tags which I have put inside some cello bags and tied with silver cord. It makes such a nice gift for someone, especially my lovely hostesses.

Hi Everyone

I know it has been a while since you have heard from me. Life has been very hectic with workshops, classes and sick children. My poor Isaac was sick for 10 days with the flu. He was so sick that for 7 whole days he lay like a dead duck on the couch. That has NEVER happened before so he must have felt truly terrible. In between all the sickness Sam turned 3 years old and started pre-school. He absolutely loves being there with his sister and it now gives me 2 whole days a week to work so I am a very happy camper at the moment. Is it bad to admit I have waited with great anticipation for 3 years for this to happen?? Anyway, the day finally arrived and I relished every minute of the 6 hours of child free time I had. I was also astounded at how much work I can get done in a day when I am not interupted all the time.

Anyway, as usual when I haven’t blogged in a while I have quite a lot to show you but I will post it over the next few days. The first thing I woud like to post is 2 scrapbook pages I did for a class the other week. I was very pleased how they turned out. I cased the layout from a photo on Splitcoast but I don’t know who it was from. I have made  male and female pages using this layout.

Good afternoon everyone,

Are you all as cold as I am? What miserable weather for a long weekend. I have been stuck inside with my 3 very loud children all day! We are sitting around the fire trying to stay warm and they have spent the whole day arguing with each other. They are finally quiet for the first time today because I have put the Peter Pan movie on for them. So I now have time to do some blogging for the first time in a week or more.

These 2 pages were designed from a page map which I got from www.pagesmaps.com. We used this design in my scrapbooking class last week and I though I would show you the male and female version of the same layout. I am really happy with how both these pages turned out and the ladies who came to the class really made wonderful jobs of their layouts and went home happy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is page was made using the lovely Raspberry Tart designer paper and I have used Petal Pizazz, Short Order Alphabet and Frames With a Flourish stamp sets. All of these products are very feminine and perfect for girly scrapbook pages.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For this page, I have used Baja breeze designer paper and Circle Circus and Short Order Alphabet stamp sets. I really love this colour combination as it is perfect for boys, especially when they are wearing clothes from Pumpkin Patch that are in the exact same colours! It really makes scrapbooking a lot easier.
